  • 17 to 21 year old drivers!

I see that that the current news has reported that 1 in 5 of the 17-21 age group don't have Insurance on their cars.

I would have thought that the Government computers tied up with the Insurance ones and would have sent a report out to the local boys in blue to go round and make sure that they weren't using their cars ?

If it wasn't for Government greed in raking in the tax on these cars supplied to kids who then go out and annoy and kill others on our roads, this wouldn't be an issue.

The minimum age for driving a car in the UK should be 21 and even then they should not be allowed to drive anything over 1300cc until they reach 25. Our lot tend to be very immature and totally oblivious to courtesy to others on the road. The usual baseball cap brigade are often seen racing round corners and making as much noise as possible , revving up and using all their petrol up by doing so. The motor car is the weapon of mass destruction supplied to the under 21's as they are too inexperienced and too thick to respect it. And of course not all are like that, but it is highly likely that those are in the minority.

    By bringing
in this law, the amount of motor casualties on our roads would decrease by over 30% as they are the most likely to offend.

    There is
more chances of the cow jumping over the moon then that happening.

  • For His Memory

Do you remember February 1993 in England ,when a
young boy of 3 was taken from a Liverpool shopping
    centre by two 10-year-old boys?
Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only
a second, Jon Venables took his hand and led him out
of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson. They took
Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the
way stopping every now and again to
torture the poor little boy who was crying
    constantly for his mummy.

Finally they stopped at a railway track where they
brutally kicked him, threw stones at him, rubbed paint
in his eyes, pushed batteries up his anus and cut his
fingers off with scissors. Other mutilations were
inflicted but not reported in the press.

    N.B. :- Remember, a 3year old cannot possibly
defend themselves against a 10 year old, let alone of 2 them.

What these two boys did was so horrendous that
Jamie's mother was forbidden to identify his body.
They then left his beaten small body on railway
tracks so a train could run him over to hide the mess
they had created. These two boys, even being boys,
understood what they did was wrong, hence trying to
make it look like an accident.

This week Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded
the two boys ( now men ), anonymity for the rest of
their lives when they leave custody with new
identities. They will also leave custody early only
serving just over half of their sentence.
They are being relocated to Australia to live out
the rest of their lives. They disgustingly and
violently took Jamie's life away and in return they
    each get a new life!

Please.... . If you feel as strongly as we do, (
and if you haven't already signed this petition ) that
this is a grave Miscarriage of justice - Hit the
forward button and add your name at the end, and send
it to everyone you can !

If you are the 700th person to sign, please
    forward this e-mail to: cust.ser.cs@gtnet.gov.uk
and mark it for the attention to Lady Justice Butler-Sloss.

The above was sent to me and I think that Lady Justice Butler-Sloss should be releived of her post and the two freaks should still be hung in public.

Any country that takes them should be ashamed of themselves.

  • Well Done Scotland - The release of Ali al-Megrahi

Ali al-Megrahi , the alleged Lockerbie Bomber was released back to Libya yesterday, much to the disgust of The British Government and its master, the American Government. Ali al-Megrahi  has always pleaded his innocence on commiting this crime and after 8 years in prison has not changed his plea. The evidence has not been substantive to his conviction and I have grave doubts about his involvement. And even if he was involved, which is very debatable,we have to look deeper into who gave the order to do the bombing.

Step forward Colonel Gadaffi, probably the real villain in this scenario. However as Libya has substancial oil reserves. the West is now lining up to kiss his arse and all is forgotten. Rumour has it that even the Libyans were not involved and that the CIA did it as they wanted to eliminate some of the passengers on that flight. We will never really know the truth.

The Scottish were right to release this man as he has, allegedly, only a few months to live. They have shown a brave face in giving this man some compassion and shown that the West is not  barbaric nor cruel.   270 people died when the plane came down in Lockerbie in 1988 - but we dont know for sure whether  Ali al-Megrahi was responsible for this disaster.

What is disgusting is the feigned affrontery displayed by the various political parties, who are distancing themselves from the Scottish decision as they think that the general public actually give a shit about what happened twenty years ago, and adopting a 'we are with you' attitude. Yes we are all sorry for the relatives of the people who died on that aeroplane  and indeed the unfortunates who perished- but this was caused by clandestine political agendas that we will never be privy to. Its not the fault of just one man.

President Obama has also voiced his wrath at the Scottish parliament as he was comfortable that as long as Ali al-Megrahi was incarcerated, the file was closed. A can of worms has been opened and there will be more investigation and unwanted theories that may involve the CIA as well as the Libyans. Someone is pulling Obamas strings as he is gradually towing the line and some of his fine promises that he made when he came to power are gradually  being canned. It was in the American interest to keep this man under lock and key.

Scotland is going to receive a heavy barrage of criticism over its decision and must stand firm and not deviate one bit from pressure that will be applied.

They must live up to the old William Wallace battle cry....Scotland the Brave!  For indeed they have been.

  • The Ugly face of Sharia Islam rears its head again.

When I was in Penang in Malaysia 20 years ago, it was a great place to be. It was a popular resort that had all sorts of tourists from around the World, but a regular haunt for people from Singapore and KL. their capital. Tourism was booming and although there was a seedy side with a district full of prostitutes (mainly Thai), it was well hidden and posed no problem.

Since those good old days, the hard liners of Islam have gradually intimidated and punished the locals into complete submission by brutal violence if they disagreed, even in the slightest way with their ideals. What was once a paradise is now a supressed and frightened community plagued with archaic and barbaric introduced laws that once was the prerogative of the dark ages.

Muslim model Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno,a 32 year old ,was caught drinking beer on a beach in Cherating resort and the secret police arrested her. She is due to be given 6 lashes in Kajang womens prison next week. The mother of two paid a fine of £860 but will still receive the lashings.

So......Malaysia is no longer on the map to go and have a holiday! Even young couples sitting too close to each other are rounded up and fined upto £300.

    The Sharia
type of Islam is only a stones throw from the mainline religion of Islam and it certainly poses a very realistic threat even on these shores, if the current sympathetic pose we adopt is not checked.

There is a growing band of countries slowly succumbing to this brutal and unfair sect, Nigeria is also plagued by it.

Be warned......its only a matter of time before some of these disgusting, violent and brutal practices arrive on our shores. After all...... we already have Sharia courts installed within the Muslim Community here. Although these courts dont deal with Criminal cases they do nevertheless dole out punishments for civil matters. How long before this is extended ?

  • Baby P Murderers...Not Uncommon in Brutal Callous Britain

Most of you know what happened to 'Baby P', where three cowardly thugs tortured and then murdered a 17 month old baby.
His physical injuries included eight broken ribs, a broken back and the missing top of a finger, plus the emotional damage. His hair was shaved to the scalp and his body covered in bruises and scabs.

You would think that this would attract life sentences wouldnt you ? With the crap blind stupid judges we have in our justice system, they get 3 years with the promise of a new identity and enough money to start again somewhere anonymously when they get out. No doubt to get hold of another child to do it again.

The army of social workers, doctors, do-gooders who say the behaviour was because of their past experiences etc.......need to get a life and get into the real world. It is an instinct that lies within all of us that to harm like that is wrong. No matter what your 'past experiences' are!

In my opinion these three should be shot or hanged as a deterrent as the meagre prison sentence dished out means that it will be copied relentlessly throughout the land by cruel, callous bastards who want to be noticed.

WE have about two to three murders every day in the UK and the average sentence is about 6 years. No wonder its a crime that no longer frightens the thugs.
And while in prison, a comfortable cell, a TV and food at regular intervals means no real hardship.

I hope that killers of Baby P get some justice by other lags in the prison who would love to do the same to them that they did to a defenceless baby. But I am sure they will be protected and given solitary cells.

And to show how stupid our justice sysytem is.....last week a couple who were fed up with the constant abuse by some youths, shot them with some peas and paper balls because the Police wouldnt do anything about it. Guess what their sentence was? Yes.. 3 years for the man and two years for his wife........the same as torturing and murdering a 17 month baby.

Something must be done to educate these stupid judges, and as for the three thugs ...if they need someone to pull the trigger on them, give me a loaded gun and I will do it.....after all it will only be three years in prison and I will get out after 15 months for good behaviour!

  • Scottish Bar Stool !

Scottish Bar Stool Go on then...smile!

  • Sirens and Alarms

Most of the night, I have been woken up by the various Sirens used by the 'emergency' services.
All different noises, screeching, blip blipping, whoops whoops and all being used for no apparent reason as the roads were empty...so who were they warning ?

Must be the 'boys toys' syndrome as I cant see any reason whatsoever for their use in non peak times. Just idiots wanting to show off.

The Police also have a huge amount of ready volunteers from their cars when a 'blue light' job comes up.

Fire Engines, ambulances and Police dominate the day and night with ridiculous levels of decibels that just are not justified.

And then to top everything, the bloody Citizens Advice Bureau across the road has its Burglar alarm screeching all night.

I dont mind the various silent displays of light but does it always have to have bloody stupid noises accompanying it !!

  • Trip to Side, Antalya, Turkey

After being harassed to go on holiday, I eventually succumbed and instantly wanted to go back to Side (pronounced seeday), in Turkey to my favourite swimming place on the Big Beach with clear warm waters. I booked with a company called LowCostHolidays.com on the internet for a 9 days holiday leaving from Birmingham Airport. It was for £240 but AFTER booking at that price, I got a call 30 minutes later to say that the Airline (Thomas Cook Airlines) had increased their flight charge and that they wanted another £60  (£30 each) paid in order to proceed! I was offered to cancel the holiday but was told that if I did, it would take upto 2 weeks before I got a refund! What a fabulous incentive not to cancel and cough up the extra money! Apart from getting more than a little angry with this, I then reeled down the 'extras' and I literally exploded when I read that if you wanted to sit together then it was £20 extra each! Blatant money robbing on an unprecedented scale. No wonder Thomas Cook have gone bust and trading under their German owners banner now. I never paid that but got to the Airport really early, ready for a big fight at the check-in desk but had no problems as seats were together! The flight was as expected, very cramped and as we did not pay the extortionate charge for a mediocre meal on the Aircraft (another con), paid for the headphones (£2.75) and watched 'Marley and Me' movie instead. As the flight left at 9pm within a couple of hours I was fast asleep. The flight was for 4 hours.

Antalya Airport has not changed one bit since I was last here 4 years ago. You still have to queue up to give them a 'Tourist visa' charge of £10 (Euros, Dollars and Sterling only!) but this time we went through very quickly.

At the onset, my knowledge of the Turkish language came in very handy as English is still spoken on a very limited basis. German is more widespread but as I speak both was comfortable that no communication problems would ensue.

After about an hour and a half's drive, we arrived in Side (after a forced stop en-route for 'refreshments', the first opportunity to get robbed with overpriced goods on offer.) The transport company then couldn't find the hotel! Lol

    THE GUVEN HOTEL, SIDE side5
The View from the breakfast table

After reading some very damaging reports on this hotel, I was more than a little anxious on arriving here. We arrived at about 6am and the owners got out of bed to give us the keys to Room 21, a nice room with a wonderful view of the sea.

The critical views on the internet I read on Expedia and Travel Adviser made me a little wary of coming here, but as I knew the location, it was ideal for where I wanted to go.

I was pleasantly surprised at seeing a clean room with a wonderful view of the sea from the balcony…Room 21.

    Guven1
The view from the balcony in Room 21
The owners Emine and Murat were very welcoming but without being intrusive and interfering. The adequate breakfast was a joy to have on the terrace as the view was utterly fantastic. After getting to know them a little they become helpful and we spent some nights just drinking and eating into the early hours with them and Ali, another Turk staying there. In fact their friendliness made the holiday and I would definitely go back there again.

The location of the Hotel is directly on the seafront and if you go to the left as you leave, the Big Beach is only 5 minutes walk away. If you go right, the small beach and the town centre and harbour is only 3 minutes away.

This is a 3 star hotel so expect no frills and facilities. The bedroom linen was changed daily and it was clean. But beware….get up early and use the hot water left over from the previous day’s solar heating to have a shower as after it’s gone, it’s cold! After midday it’s hot again Lol.

The food here is adequate and Fabree the Chef conjured up a nice pepper sauce complete with fresh chillies with a flattened steak.

For a budget holiday without too many frills but an extremely friendly ambiance, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

    side4

The Big beach with the Dunes and Ruins hasn’t changed in 30 years except for a massive influx of sun beds! The Turkish lads still come and get you cold drinks and food as you lie on your sun lounger relaxing in the hot sun, taking frequent dips into a very warm and clear sea. In July I think it may be a little too hot for most sensitive skins from the UK as its very easy to burn unless you originally protect yourself with factor 35 sun cream!  The best months here are September and October as the heat is still strong but not scorching. The price of cokes and food on the beach is a little expensive for us in the UK due to the bad exchange rate for £Sterling.

Cames of Camel Ali Camel Ali's Camels !

On the way back to the town beware of Camel Ali the fresh orange man with 4 camels! He will amiably give you a freshly squeezed orange drink and then ask you pay double or treble than what you can get it for in the town! Lol Don’t give him more than 2 Liras for a single drink! However he is a very friendly and genuine man once you get to know him and will treat you with genuine respect once you show him that you are not an idiot! Lol

    ****

The quaint little town has not changed much but the main street has a huge influx of tourists during the evening, mainly German and Russian Tourists who appear to be easily fleeced. The prices are mainly displayed in Euros which made me a little angry as the official currency here is Turkish Lire. Why do the Germans always spoil everything for everyone by giving them Euros? This means that the prices are now double or treble what they used to be…..and as they are given these prices without any query, they have managed to make the rich Turks who have shops here, even richer.

The restaurants in the Harbour area tend to charge sky high prices so beware!

Columns of Side The sunsets in Side are absolutely stunning and a lot of good photos can be taken from the ruins of the Roman Columns of Dionysus, a short walk from the harbour.

The Emir Bistro on Laylak Sokak, Side

I first visited this Restaurant 4 years ago. and once eating there, it’s like a drug as you keep going back. The food is absolutely fantastic value for money as the price quoted includes a starter and a desert! It is very well cooked and while waiting, Charlie the dog entertains everyone as he attacks any passing bikes or barks at anyone in a uniform. He had two policemen up against a wall while we were eating our freshly cooked steaks….what a fabulous cabaret! Having said that he is very friendly and not aggressive at all but I think he is a local character that is loved and tolerated as he has never bitten anyone ever! Lol

Don’t come to Side and NOT have a meal here as you will regret it! A fantastic menu and everything is cooked fresh! Our last meal was a mixed grill (photo) which cost us 20.-TL each (£4). The drinks were extra but not expensive as elsewhere.

    Trip to Manavgat

Take the Tractor train to the Dolmus stop and from there a fare of 1.75-TL will take you all the way to the centre of Manavgat. A Dolmus is a shared minibus which tends to get very crowded so be prepared for a lot of different smells emanating from the different races and colours all sweating in the hot sun! Hahahaha !!!

Quite often a Turk sitting in the back will give you money which in turn you pass to the driver to pay him. An Old German gentleman was standing near the front and every time someone gave him money to pass to the driver, he said thank you and put it in his own pocket! After a lot of shouting he eventually coughed up with the gelt and gave it to the driver! A wise move, as Turks are not known to appreciate this particular type of humour!

Get off the Dolmus when you see a bridge and a river and walk down the side street and it will lead you to an open market. Best day is Thursday.

Manavgat centre  Photograph (22) (2) Manavgat Boats   Manavgat

A ride down the river can be taken from a number of boats that can take you up river, as far as the small waterfall (photo) and then continue by bus to the big waterfall (photo). It is a worthwhile trip. Alternatively you can go down river to the sea.

If you walk back over the bridge and cross the road to the Fish market, there is a small restaurant on the corner which serves authentic Turkish cuisine. I first went there 30 years ago when it was a busy regional bus station and I was a very young 20 years old! Its still there, so it must be good!!

  • The Fun of Fundamentalism

Dr. Laura Schlessinger is a US radio personality who dispenses advice to people who call in to her radio show. Recently, she said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, she regards homosexuality as an abomination according to the Old Testament, Leviticus 18:22, and it cannot be condoned under any circumstance. The following is an open letter to Dr. Laura penned by a US resident, which was posted on the Internet:
    Dear Dr. Laura,
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to follow them.
    1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify ? Why can't I own Canadians ?
    2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her ?
    3. I know that I am not allowed to have contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual cleanliness - Leviticus 15:19-24. The problem is, how do I tell ? I have tried asking, but most women take offence.
    4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing smell for the Lord - Leviticus 1:9. The problem is my neighbours. They claim the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them ?
    5. I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states she sould be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill her myself ?
    6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Leviticus 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this ?
    7. Leviticus 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here ?
    8. Most of my male friends get their hair cut, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by the bible, in Leviticus 19:27. How should they die ?
    9. I know from Leviticus 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves ?
    10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Leviticus 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton and polyester blend). He also tends to curse a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them ( Leviticus 24:10-16)?. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws  (Leviticus 20:14)?
I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.
